Church Music in Wales
A Saesneg's* View

Last year, based on his five years in Norway, Philip Norman spoke about Norwegian church music. This year, based on just short of five years in Wales, he turns his attention to the music west of Offa's Dyke.

Is it all Cwm Rhondda, Blaenwern and chapel, chapel, chapel? Is the Archbishop of Wales a Druid? Are all the services in Cymraeg? These questions will be answered and an overall picture of the music at parish and cathedral level will be drawn.

*Saesneg = Saxon. That is, English.
