Westminster Cathedral

Programme to be announced

Marko Sever is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, where he studied the organ on scholarship under David Titterington and Gerard Brooks, winning prizes in organ playing, and academia. Having previously held positions at St Albans Cathedral, the London Oratory, and All Saints Margaret Street, he recently joined the Music Department at Westminster Cathedral, where he enjoys experiencing the day-to-day life of a busy Cathedral environment.

Prior to moving to London in 2016, Marko was Organ Scholar of St James’ King Street in Sydney, while undertaking organ studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under Philip Swanton, from whom he learnt for over 10 years.

During his time in Sydney, Marko played for the Conservatorium’s Centenary Concert at the Sydney Opera House featuring Leonard Bernstein’s monumental Mass, alongside 400 singers and instrumentalists from the Conservatorium. He has also worked closely with the Conservatorium’s Symphony Orchestra on a number of occasions, playing Elgar's Enigma Variations, and Saint-Saëns' renowned Organ Symphony.

Since moving to the UK, he has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, Westminster Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, St George’s Hanover Square, Keble College Oxford, and St Marylebone Parish Church.

Marko is a prizewinning Fellow of the Royal College of Organists (FRCO), receiving Harding and Durrant Prizes.
