SMALL CHOIRS FESTIVAL 2016

INTRODUCTION
All choirs and interested singers are invited to take part in this 2016 Annual Small Choirs Festival. Small Choirs Festivals are designed for small church choirs (those with few or no men) and are based on a repertoire that such choirs could manage in their own churches without further resources. However, all singers and choirs who support the aims of the festival are invited.

There is NO CHARGE for participation but to cover the costs of organisation and administration participating singers will have the opportunity to contribute to a collection.

The first Small Choirs Festival was held in February 2004 as a project between the choirs of St. John's, Leytonstone; St. Francis', Barkingside; and St. Paul's, Goodmayes, all in East London/South West Essex.

REHEARSALS
On the day, all the music will be rehearsed from 2.00 - 4.15pm. However, all participating singers and choirs are encouraged to study the music beforehand.

A visit to the Music link on the menu bar will lead you to downloadable copies of the anthems and rehearsal tracks. These tracks give both a general, overall impression of each piece, and also emphasised voice parts.

If each singer is acquainted with the basic notes before arriving on the day, we can spend more time working for a high quality performance.
