Bach v Händel,
a Fair Match?

JS Bach and GF Händel were born within a few days of each other in the same part of Germany. As far as we know, they never met and, although being Titans of the Baroque Era, their careers followed dramatically different paths.

This talk looks at their similarities and differences and asks such questions as: why didn't Händel write much organ music? and, did Bach compose any operas? Also, Bach knew Händel's music, but was the reverse true?

This talk lasts about 60 minutes, or longer of shorter if required.  All necessary equipment (projector, screen, sound system) is provided.
