Evan currently holds the Pettman Organ Scholarship at the London Oratory. Alongside this, he is in the final year of his degree in violin performance at the Guildhall School of Music, where he studies with the leader of the Brodsky Quartet, Krysia Osotowicz, supported by scholarships from the Harrison Frank Family Foundation and the School.

Growing up in Dublin, Evan studied violin and piano as a scholar of the Royal Irish Academy of Music with Maeve Broderick and Hugh Tinney. He sang with RTÉ Cór na nÓg, where he was encouraged to begin organ lessons by Dr Carole O’Connor, and became her student. At 15, he was appointed Junior Organ Scholar of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, and in 2021 he received the Sr. Catherine McCauley Cup for the most promising organist in the Feis Ceoil national competition, giving a prize recital for Dublin’s Pipeworks Organ Festival.

Evan held the Champniss Organ Scholarship at the Grosvenor Chapel from 2023, and before this was Organ Scholar of St Mary’s Church, Battersea 2021-2023, while studying with Anne Marsden Thomas. Bursaries from the RCO and the Dunleath Organ Scholarship Trust have allowed him to take part in masterclasses with esteemed organists including Katelyn Emerson, Henry Fairs, Eric Lebrun and Gerard Brooks. He has accompanied choral services at Southwark, Christ Church Dublin, St Edmundsbury and St David’s Cathedrals, and was recently invited to give a recital in Westminster Abbey.
