Welcome to this, the eleventh Organ Day to be arranged by Music in Bloomsbury and Organists Online. Our theme for today is Trocadero and Town Halls, and we look at theatre organs, town hall organs, and the music that they inspired.

We also (belatedly) celebrate 20 years of Organists Online, which first went online in November 2000.

Richard Hills is our Celebrity Recitalist at 6.00pm, and Simon Gledhill and Marko Sever will be giving the afternoon recitals. We welcome back Dame Gillian Weir who will be holding a masterclass.

Throughout the afternoon, it will be possible to purchase organ-related music and CDs and there will be good time to meet each other and exchange news and views.

Possibly, one of the most excellent and famous Bloomsbury Buffets will be available from 5pm until the start of the Celebrity Recital at 6pm. However, at this moment (October), we are not sure whether we will have access to the Friendship Centre or not.

Finally, and best of all, all the afternoon events are free.

Here is the day's programme:

COVID!!!!!

Obviously, we will be observing whatever Covid regulations, recommendations, and requirements that are in place at the end of January. What you need to know will be published here nearer the time.

In view or this, WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND that everyone who wishes to attend REGISTERS VIA THIS SITE. Then we will know how many are coming for each part of the day. If you just turn up, we MIGHT have to refuse you entry if we are very full. Registration guarantees admittance.

To avoid overcrowding at entrance areas as people pay for the buffet and the Celebrity Recital, we are taking card payments for these at the time or registration. Card payments won't be obligatory, but it will reduce crowding and are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Similarly, in previous years, an ongoing collection to cover expenses has taken place - with much undignified rattling of collection buckets. This year, we are asking you to make a donation by card at the time of registration.

REGISTRATION FROM
15 NOVEMBER.
