It's a policy of the North Monmouthshire Ministry Area to hold, on the fifth Sunday of a month, an area sung evensong. The next will be on Sunday 29 Sept, and a choir has been requested.

Membership of the choir is open to all interested singers.

Singing with the choir carries no implication of further committment. This is a self contained project and once done and dusted, that's it. You will be kept informed of other similar projects, but not with an expectation that you will participate.

It is NOT expected that singers will be able to sight read music. The piece(s) chosen will allow for a range of musical abilities and, for those who want to use them, downloadable rehearsal tracks will be available.

This choral project will be led by Philip Norman

• For the choir: We'll aim at doing two pieces, and introit and an anthem. One of them we will have sung before and one will be a new piece.
• For the choir and congregation: a selection of suitable hymns and canticles.

It won't be necessary for singers to download and print the music themselves, this will be provided.

There will be two rehearsal sessions:

• A: Friday 27 Sept 7.00 - 8.00 pm: for those singers who like to go over everything several times. Zenith, Church Lane, Llanddewi Rhydderch NP7 9TS..
• B: Sunday 29 Sept 5.00 pm: for all singers - in the church before the service.

The music scores and rehearsal tracks will be downloadable below. If you feel that you can use these to prepare yourself in advance; just come to rehearsal B.
