Marc Murray

Born and educated in Cape Town, South Africa, Marc moved to the United Kingdom in May 2010 to take up the post of Director of Music at St Botolph’s Church (The Stump), Boston, Lincolnshire. Until June 2015, he was also Director of Music for Peterborough Opera.
Marc is Director of Music and Master of the Choir School at Bury Parish Church, Foundation Organist and Organ Teacher at Bolton School and an Accredited Teacher of the Royal College of Organists, holding both the Fellowship Diploma and Choral Directing Diploma of the College.
Marc is also conductor of The Rawstorne Singers, Southport Bach Choir and Preston Cecilian Choral Society. In 2019 Marc completed a further MA in Performance Practice at the University of York, specializing in the performance of early organ and harpsichord repertoire under the supervision of Prof. Peter Seymour and continued his harpsichord studies with Catherine Perrion.
