Richard O'Neill
Richard is organist of St Laurence’s, Hawkhurst, previously playing at All Saints, Maidstone, St Mary’s Frittenden and St Paul’s UMC, Houston Texas. He has a wide repertoire, spanning five centuries, specialising in modern French organ music.
He is an experienced choir accompanist, particularly of psalm chant, having been a chorister at Westminster Abbey and a choral scholar at University.
He began his organ studies under Nigel Alcott and David Gatward, continuing with Ewalt Kooiman and Piet Kee.
He regularly performs solo recitals, most recently of Reubke’s 94th Psalm and Vierne Carillon de Westminster.
