Stephen Penton BA Hons MA MSc LGSM Hons PGCE
I am Director of Music of St Andrew's Church, Much Hadham, in Hertfordshire, where I play for services and train the choir. I occasionally give recitals, and accompany choirs who are singing in cathedrals. I am also a pianist, particularly enjoying accompanying and chamber music, and I also enjoy singing (bass-baritone).
Prior to my current post I had been Assistant Organist of Cirencester Parish Church, and Assistant Organist of Saffron Walden Parish Church, which included a number of cathedral visits and a tour to Germany. Before these appointments I was Director of Music of a number of churches in London, taking responsibility for directing choirs, organ playing and planning music.
I have worked as a music teacher for ten years, in London and on the Isle of Man. This included a number of musical tours, including accompanying a choir on a tour to an international music festival in the south of France.
