The Parish of Holy Trinity Leverstock Green wishes to appoint an Organist and Director of Music
We offer:
• an established SATB choir of mixed ability, keen to develop and grow
• an approachable, liturgical tradition where music plays a key role in our worship
• a varied repertoire of Church Choral Music with a desire to explore a range of musical styles
• a pipe organ with 2 manuals and pedals, built by Kirkland in 1899 and extended in 1999
• a part-time contract, 7 hours a week
• A comparable RSCM salary

Duties include weekly practices, a choral service every Sunday (usually a Eucharist), outreach in the local community to recruit and develop a Junior Choir, special services throughout the year and frequent Pastoral Services.

Skills & Experience
We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented musician to lead and develop our existing musical life and to establish a Junior Choir. Ideally you will have an established track record of encouraging and developing singers of all ages, and a range of abilities, especially children and young people; have an awareness of the Liturgical Year and the shape of liturgical worship and be encouraging and fun, with a sense of humour and a desire to be part of the life of Holy Trinity. The successful applicant will be able to communicate effectively with others, be planned and organised and be willing to discuss new ideas with the Team Vicar.
