Rev’d Esther Foss
We’re a friendly and inclusive Anglican church in the liberal catholic tradition. Our church has a strong musical tradition, dating back to its consecration in 1914. Sunday worship is blessed with a mixed, versatile, robed choir of around twelve members, providing music (mainly organ and piano) week by week. Our organ was built by William Hill in 1904, and contains 1271 pipes, two manuals and pedals and two sets of adjustable pistons. We also have an experienced flautist and talented young oboist and trombonist in our midst!
We are seeking to appoint a permanent organist who:
will work collaboratively, sharing with the director of our SATB choir in leading the music at our Parish Eucharist and other services
is fluent in the traditional canon of liturgical music, but interested in incorporating other styles
has a passion for developing the choral tradition of the church with all ages
Salary in line with RSCM rates.
