Musical Requirements:
We are looking for an organist to play each Sunday at one Mass, congregational hymns, Mass settings and choir pieces.In addition there will be feast days, weddings and funerals.
The role includes training and leading a small amateur choir, with weekly evening rehearsals.
This is a large parish with five Masses over the weekend and a footfall of about 800 - with many young families. The liturgy leans towards the traditional.
The choir, to date, had focused on Gregorian chant, which is something we want to develop as well as SATB pieces.
