Musical Requirements:
Ideally we would like to engage a well qualified organist but we would consider a pianist with an interest in moving to organ. We have a small choir all of whom can read music and offer and introit and anthem when enough voices are available.We are looking for someone who can play for a sung Eucharist on the 1st Sunday of the month and Matins on the fourth Sunday. If possible we like to offer an occasional celebration choral evensong with supplementary voices from the wider community. We are very keen to encourage and improve congregational singing so there is scope for developing this post to include work with the choir and congregation. We enjoy traditional church music and Taize/Iona settings.We are a small welcoming community worshipping in a a very special ancient church with an electronic organ.
