Musical Requirements:
Hymns as follows (all from Ancient and Modern - Hymns and Songs for Refreshing Worship, tune names in brackets):
79 - O little town of Bethlehem (Forest Green)
761 - Praise the Lord, he heavens adore him (Austria)
65 - Good Christians all, rejoice (In dulci jubilo)
87 - Thou who wast rich beyond all splendour (Fragrance)
71 - Jesus Christ the Lord is born (Puer nobis nascitur)
83 - See amid the winter's snow (Humility)
A simple gospel acclamation, sung by the choir.
Also, the Gloria, Sanctus, Benedictus and Agnus Dei from the Addington Service by Richard Shephard.
There is a gospel procession during which the gospel acclamation is sung. As the priest and servers return to the front, please fill in. Also, some quiet music for a few minutes before the service and a voluntary at the end would be appreciated.
Other details:
If preferred, the Addington Service could be replaced by the Rutter setting.
I can send a copy of the gospel acclamation in advance if desired. I can also send scans of the Addington service (or the Rutter communion service if preferred).
There is a descant to hymn 79 (the widely sung one by Thomas Armstrong, which is also in the Carols for Choirs books) - if there are enough sopranos they may sing this.
