Musical Requirements:

The Church of St Mary and St Margaret, Castle Bromwich

Appointment of Organist/Musical Director

Due to the very sad death of our previous Musical Director, we are seeking to appoint an inspirational organist to this key role. The successful candidate will oversee all organ playing in the church and will train the small SATB choir.
The Conacher Pneumatic organ in the church has been completely rebuilt by W A Boggis and Co of Diss in Norfolk over the past two years.
Remuneration will be paid on a monthly basis and will be in consultation with the PCC.
The position will initially be on a "self-employed" basis until an appointment has been made for a new Parish Priest. Following this, negotiation may then follow to make the appointment a permanent salaried position.
The appointee will be expected to play for Sunday worship services, rehearsals with the Choir and other special services including, but not limited to, Christmas and Easter.
For further information, please refer to the church website: stmaryandstmargaret.co.uk

The Conacher Pneumatic organ in the church has been completely rebuilt by W A Boggis and Co of Diss in Norfolk over the past two years.

Remuneration will be paid on a monthly basis and will be in consultation with the PCC.
Salary is negotiable consistent with candidate’s education, experience, and skill level.
The organist will submit an invoice, at the end of each calendar month, to the treasurer who will reimburse the organist accordingly.
The organist will initially be employed on a "self-employed" basis and therefore they will be responsible for payment of all taxes on this income.
Should the organist arrange for a substitute organist for a known absence, it is the organist's responsibility to ensure that they are paid.
Once a new appointment of 'Priest-in-charge' to the parish has been made, negotiation may then follow to make the appointment a permanent salaried position.

The appointee will be expected to play for Sunday worship services, rehearsals with the Choir and other special services including, but not limited to, Christmas and Easter.
