St. Michael & All Angels Church
Director of Music, St Michael and All Angels, London Fields
Who are we?
St Michael & All Angels London Fields (website: www.stmichaelslondonfields.org.uk) is a lively, multiethnic Liberal Catholic Anglican parish 5 minutes from Broadway Market in London E8. Its liturgy is mainly drawn from Common Worship. Music is central to worship. The 10am Sunday Eucharist, which lasts just over one hour, usually includes congregational mass setting, up to 5 hymns, organist’s choice of music before and after the service, occasional anthems (especially at festivals) and some simple improvisation. Congregational singing is led by a small, mixed choir of up to 12 singers complemented by a lay-led African-style Singing Group, who sing during the administration of Communion.
