Musical Requirements:
We are a residential community for older people in a beautiful setting, with buildings that date back to 1695. We have a small chapel and hold regular Anglican services, including a sung eucharist on Sundays at 10.30. Our current organist has been with us for many years, and wishes to cut back her commitment to two Sundays per month, meaning that we are looking for an organist for the other two Sunday mornings. (We can be flexible, and would happily create a rota for a number of organists to join us, if they preferred a lesser commitment.) It is a paid position, between £50 and £80 per service, depending upon experience.
Our current organist is a qualified and experienced pianist, who currently teaches at Trinity Laban. She would be very happy to teach a good pianist to play the organ, so please do apply if you are only just starting out on your organ-playing career!
Other details:
We currently use the St Thomas Mass setting and our service includes four hymns.
