Dr Richard Dunster-Sigtermans
The Rugby Philharmonic Choir is seeking an experienced pianist to be our accompanist to start with effect from January 11th 2022.
You will be an accomplished pianist with excellent accompanying skills along with confident score-reading abilities. You will accompany our weekly rehearsals which take place on Tuesday evenings in Rugby, 7.30pm to 9.30pm, for approximately 30 weeks a year. Dependent on the repertoire you might also perform in our concerts (for an additional fee).
The position is paid on a sessional self-employed basis and the fee per session is negotiable. Founded in 1867 we are a friendly SATB choir of around 100 members with Dr Richard Dunster-Sigtermans the newly appointed Director of Music. We usually perform 3 concerts each season, which runs from September to July, singing a broad range of music, including major works of the choral repertoire with professional soloists and orchestral ensembles, with concerts normally given in the historic Temple Speech Room in Rugby School. The choir’s website is www.rugbyphilharmonic.org.uk and further details are available from firstname.lastname@example.org
Application is by CV, sent with covering email, to email@example.com by Monday October 25th. Evening auditions are currently scheduled for November 9th and 16th so please indicate if alternative dates are necessary
