Revd Paul Prentice
St Paulinus Church
The organist and director of music will be required to play, and to direct the choir, at main Sunday morning services. They will also be required to play, and to direct the choir, at major festivals and major celebrations or special services, in consultation with the Rector.
The organist and director of music will be required to play at weddings. They will receive separate payment at the agreed fees for playing at weddings. If the organiser of a wedding wishes another organist to play, they will be required to pay the fee to the director of music in line with accepted practice.
A choir practice is held once a week, except when the organist and director of music is on annual leave.
The selection of hymns/songs for services will be co-ordinated with the clergy responsible.
The organist and director of music will work collaboratively with the Ministry Team and St Paulinus School to further the mission of music in the church.
The organist and director of music will liaise with the music group that plays once a month on a Sunday at 10 am, to work collaboratively with them to plan family worship.
The organist & director of music will be required to play at all major festivals.
St. Paulinus is the only Anglican Church in the parish. We are part of Churches Together in Crayford. It is liberal catholic in style with a broad range of worship & music to cater for all needs with an influence of catholic renewal. There is a significant number of young families and children, a “busy” parish with a good ministry team and plenty of support from the congregation.
